John & Jen Catch Up on Their Bonding...With Others

Who says couples have to do everything together? (Besides tabloids and other judgmental types?)

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer may not have been photographed together since July 27, but each is still looking perfectly happy. Whatever it is causing their fresh, healthy glow, be it thoughts of a significant other waiting for him/her on the other side of the border or relief to be spending a few days as a single entity—it's working.

On a break from touring, Mayer flew down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Aug. 3 to unwind and has barely worn a stitch of clothing since. The singer, either lounging in a hot tub or wrapped in a towel, has been kicking back with friends, smoking cigars and otherwise living the (Your Body Is a) Wonderland life.

And while his actress gal-pal was dutifully present for concerts in London and various U.S. locales, Aniston has opted to stay put in L.A. and do her own thing for the time being.

Good Night and Good Luck Keeping Me Out of Your Wife's Dreams

Who says print is dead?

As Cindy Crawford and hubby Rande Gerber soaked up some Mediterranean sun onboard a private yacht docked in St. Tropez, George Clooney stopped by to catch up on his current events.

The couple's silvery haired third wheel did make himself useful over the weekend, however.

Per People, Clooney manned the lunchtime grill Saturday for his fellow vacationers and a group of well-heeled friends that included Bono. The trio followed that with some late-night clubbing, a sail up the French coast and another gathering at Bono's Riviera pad on Monday.

On second thought, with all that action, maybe Clooney's just checking the paper to find out what day it is.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are really flying now.

E! News confirms the couple are on their way back to Los Angeles after spending a romantic weekend in Mexico. Their private jet is expected to touch down at Van Nuys Airport sometime tonight.

The Friends With Money star and the Heavier Things artist landed south of the border on Friday and then shuttled over to Casa Aramara, the beachfront villa owned by Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis in Punta Mita, which is just north of the resort town of Puerto Vallarta.

Jessica Back in Country on Multiple Levels

Jessica Simpson hopped off her flight from Mexico and jumped right back to work.

The pop star, who returned to Los Angeles yesterday after spending a few days unwinding (from what, we wonder) with her family south of the border, apparently isn't in the mood for more R&R.

She was on the move today, making a quick stop at a Marriott hotel in Sherman Oaks and then holing up in a West Hollywood recording studio.

A source close to the songstress told E! News that Simpson planned to spend six to eight hours at the studio working on material for a "country crossover" album.

Sounds about right for a little lady who's been suspiciously without her Cowboy for a while.

Britney: Not Coasting in Costa Rica

Relaxation is all relative, but Britney Spears' chaperone Dad is nowhere to be found!

Instead, Brit seems to be cozying up to her agent Jason Trawick as the two enjoy an ATV interlude during a Costa Rican getaway at Mel Gibson's place in the Pacific coastal city of Samara.

Looks like Jason is ready to let out the throttle for a little va-va-vrooom!
