Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton Disengage
Turns out that time, love and tenderness aren't all it takes.
Longtime on-again, off-again loves Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have called off their pending nuptials, E! News confirms.
They "have amicably ended their engagement," Sheridan's rep said in a statement Tuesday. "They appreciate your respect for their privacy in this matter."
The pair originally dated for five years starting in 1992. After an eight-year drought, Bolton started seeing the Desperate Housewives star again in 2005, shortly after she broke up with fiancé Niklas Soderblom. They announced their intention to wed in March 2006.
"Nicollette and I are very serious about each other," Bolton told the New York Daily News in January 2006. "I am very committed. It is a very special time in my life. I have a good feeling about the future."
Both have been married once before, Sheridan to Harry Hamlin from 1991 to early 1993.

Chris Kattan Makes Split Official
That was fast. Although, at this point, not exactly surprising.
Two days after revealing that there was trouble in paradise, Chris Kattan filed for a legal separation from his wife of less than two months, model Sunshine Tutt, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason it all went to hell so fast, per documents filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Chris Kattan's Marriage on Hiatus
Apparently, Chris Kattan's marriage is a not-ready-for-prime-time player.
The former Saturday Night Live star and his wife, model Sunshine Tutt, have split just eight weeks after their wedding.
"They are separated for the moment, but are working on it," a rep for the funnyman tells E! News.
However, there are no immediate plans for divorce, according to Life & Style, which first reported the marital rough patch.
Kattan, 37, and Tutt, 31, began dating in 2005 and swapped vows June 28 in Yosemite, Calif., with onetime SNL castmates Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Jimmy Fallon looking on.
Ex's Beef With Burton Burned on Appeal
Tim Burton has extinguished his ex-flame's heated accusations.
A California appellate court tossed Lisa Marie's fraud lawsuit against her former fiancé after determining that a Los Angeles judge was wrong in denying Burton's motion to dismiss and setting a trial date.
The two sides had been scheduled to face off Aug. 13.
Lisa Marie, who appeared in a number of her ex's films, had accused Burton of cheating her out of assets he supposedly promised her during their 10-year relationship. The duo broke up in 2001.
"Mr. Burton said he was happy to put this chapter of his life behind him," the filmmaker's attorney, Joseph Mannis, told reporters after court Wednesday.

Usher Back in Mommy's Arms After Dumping Manager Medina
Turns out Usher's still a mama's boy.
The R&B hitmaker has dumped Hollywood power broker Benny Medina and rehired mom Jonnetta Patton as his manager, E! News has exclusively learned.
“With an artist like Usher, the bar is set really high," Medina tells E! News. "Whether it was management, marketing or the music, we achieved a No. 1 single and a No. 1 album...I had a great time and we parted ways amicably.”
"Usher has dissolved his management arrangement with Benny Medina and has re-engaged Jonnetta Patton as his manager," read a statement released on his behalf late Wednesday by label Sony BMG.
The behind-the-scenes shakeup also saw the voluntary departure of publicist Patti Webster. "I was not fired," she tells E! News.
Sources say the Medina split is a direct result of disappointing record sales for the team's first and only collaboration, Here I Stand.

Salma Staying Single: Hayek Engagement Called Off
Ay, caramba. Relations between Mexico and France apparently aren't as smooth as once thought.
A rep for Salma Hayek and her French billionaire baby daddy, François-Henri Pinault, has confirmed the couple of two years and parents of one have called off their engagement.
No reason was given for the nuptial nixing, and there's no word on whether the couple plans to stay together despite the sudden lack of wedding bells in their future.
"We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault has been canceled," Hayek spokeswoman Cari Ross tells E! News. "There will be no further comment."
Kimmel-Silverman Breakup No Laughing Matter
The next time Sarah Silverman makes a video about which celebrity she's f--king, Jimmy Kimmel may not find it quite so funny.

"Jimmy and Sarah are no longer dating...and will have no further comment," Lewis Kay and Amy Zvi, the respective reps for Kimmel and Silverman, said in a joint statement today.

DJ AM Spins a Libel Suit
It seems like forever ago—at least in Hollywoodland—that DJ AM was engaged to Nicole Richie. But for the famed record spinner and club owner, it seems to be the relationship that keeps on giving...major headaches.
The disgruntled scenester, whose actual name is Adam Goldstein, has sued the New York Daily News for libel and false-light invasion of privacy, alleging that a June 22 article published online and in print about his lack of earning prowess since he and Richie split is a darned falsehood. (View the lawsuit.)
"DJ AM's career has continued to thrive," states the lawsuit filed June 27 in Los Angeles Superior Court.
