Wow. That's a lot of you. (You can put your hand down, Patrick Dempsey.)
Thankfully, Cristina (Sandra Oh) did the honors in a scene that pretty much stole the two-hour episode (don't read any further until you've seen it)—well, along with the intro of her new love interest Major Hottie, who so lived up to his name.
So, what really went down and what’s the latest exclusive scoop on Alex (Justin Chambers) and Izzie (Katherine Heigl)?
You can only find it here ...

Is Katherine Heigl Finally Quitting?!
Is Katherine Heigl's nic fit finally over?
The Grey's star who's seldom seen in public without a cigarette between her lips is quitting smoking, at least according to costar T.R. Knight.
A former smoker himself, T.R. told In Touch he's supporting her efforts without nagging his pal about it. "You have to be ready and find it in yourself."
It's apparently taken seven years for Katherine to come around and see the smoke-free light—here's hoping her resolution sticks.
Grey's Anatomy: McSteamy's New Love
Yep it's true, McSteamy is back on the market.
As Eric Dane told me at the USA Weekend cover photo shoot, "I think this year he's going to find somebody." Could it be Callie (again)? What about Izzie?

Grey's Anatomy: Is Rose Pregnant? Find Out the Truth
Shout-out to Kate from New York for telling us about this new Grey's Anatomy promo, wherein Rose (Lauren Stamile) says to Derek (Patrick Dempsey): "I wish there were a good way to say this: I'm carrying your child."
Want to know exactly what happens in the premiere when Rose drops the bomb from the promo into Derek's lap? Could Nurse Rose truly be having McDreamy's baby? (Aaah!)

T.R. Knight: No Wedding in the Works
T.R. Knight is thrilled his pal Ellen DeGeneres married Portia de Rossi this weekend, but that doesn't mean he's going to be the next gay celebrity to say "I do."
"I'm happy for them," Knight said at the AIDS Healthcare Foundation's Hot in Hollywood Awards Saturday at L.A. nightclub Avalon, adding, "I'm very happy that we can talk about this subject—very, very happy."
While the Grey's Anatomy star was quick to say he and boyfriend Mark Cornelsen aren't planning a wedding "right now," he did beam, "We just celebrated a little over eight months though!"
But when it came time to talk about the new season of Grey's, Knight was tight-lipped...
Gone, Heigl, Gone?
Is Katherine Heigl dead to the producers of Grey's Anatomy?
Maybe.
Latest buzz hissing from the set of the ABC hit is that creator Shonda Rhimes may be entertaining the idea of killing off Heigl's Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens because of the now infamous remarks Heigl made about the upcoming Emmys.
Grey's Anatomy: What Was That Song?
Were you wondering what that song was during the season finale of Grey's Anatomy?
Well, even if you weren't (and there were several good songs, actually), you should check out Priscilla Ahn, whose melancholic song "Dream" added to the drama as the cast spent the episode fighting back the tears (bravely!) or bickering over the proper treatment of a patient on the operating table (fiercely!).
Or totally making out (is hotly a word?).
Anyway, we like this song. And the singer-songwriter has an album coming out next month on Blue Note, which also launched a singer named Norah Jones and probably has similar aspirations for Ahn.
Who knows if her "Dream" will pan out—but she's definitely worth a listen.
Grey's Star Adopts a McBaby
Grey’s Anatomy fans might be wondering which team Dr. Erica Hahn bats for, but in real life, actress Brooke Smith is into girls—adopting one, that is.
Smith, 40, and her cinematographer husband, Steve Lubensky, have adopted a baby girl from Ethiopia. She is the couple’s second daughter; big sister Fanny is 5 years old.
The Silence of the Lambs star and her husband had traveled to Africa on several occasions, including filming a documentary in Zimbabwe. Back in October, Smith told People magazine that they were considering adoption.
The couple has been married since 1999.
